1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Free Image Optimiser ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Free Image Optimiser is a browser-based image optimization tool. All image processing happens entirely on your device using client-side technology (HTML5 Canvas API). No images are uploaded to or stored on our servers.

The Service is available in two tiers:

• Free tier: Up to 10 image optimizations per day.
• Lifetime Pro tier: Unlimited optimizations for a one-time payment of $9.99 USD.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account using either Google OAuth or email registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Payments & Refunds

Lifetime Pro purchases are processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing a Pro licence, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

As the Pro licence is a one-time digital purchase delivered instantly, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support if you believe a refund is warranted.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures.
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Service in an abusive manner.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

6. Content Responsibility

Since all images are processed locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers, you retain full ownership of and responsibility for your content. We do not monitor, access, or store any images you process.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by Free Image Optimiser and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.

8. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your Account settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be erased in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
